Updates

November 27, 2019
It was another good day for collecting stamps as I received an order from one of my favorite PNC dealers, John Himes:

November 21, 2019
Today was FDC (First Day Cover) day as I received 6 different covers:

November 18, 2019
Added a plate number strip of 3 of Scott 5242, NDN Father Ted Hesburgh with plate number P11111.

November 16, 2019
Received a plate strip of 9 with plate number B1111 of the 34¢ Flowers (Scott 3478-81).

November 9, 2019
Nearing completion of the 32¢ Yellow Rose series as I received an imperf pair.

November 7, 2019
I added two plate number coil strips of 5 and two strips of 3. The first two were 33¢ Fruit Berries, plate numbers B1111 and B2222. I also added two strips of the 10¢ Green Bicycle, plate numbers 888 and 999.

November 4, 2019
The mail was good to me today as I received a number of recent purchases:

November 2, 2019
Today I received two Flag Over Porch First Day Covers, Scott 2915B (issued in Denver, Colorado) and Scott 2915D (issued in Tucson, Arizona).

November 1, 2019

October 31, 2019
Received and added a 1¢ Justice Department Official.

October 18 2019
Received and added plate number strips of 3 and 5 of plate numbers 1111 and 2222 for Scott 3550, 34¢ United We Stand.

October 11, 2019
Worked on adding a combination of used singles, strips of 3, and strips of 5 to the 29¢ Flag Over Yosemite issue.

October 10, 2019
Today I acquired a plate strip of 5 of the precancelled 10.9¢ Hansom Cab (Scott 1904a) plate number 1.

October 9, 2019
Picked up two PNC used singles of the 23¢ Presorted First-Class Flag, Scott 2605 plate number 222 with the thin and wide varieties.

October 8, 2019
I received a 32¢ Yellow Rose First Day Cover of plate number 4455.

October 2, 2019
Received 20 strips of Scott 3054, 32¢ Yellow Rose and added them to the pages. I now need 5 more strips of 3 to complete the series.

September 25, 2019
Updated the 29¢ Christmas Contemporary page to include a plate number strip of 8 in my collection.

September 24, 2019
After making payments for the past 5 weeks I received first day covers of Scott 1907, 18¢ Surrey transportation coil, for plate number 3 (a strip of 4) and plate number 4 (a pair). It was the first time I've ever made payments for stamps, but these covers are so rare (Scott/Mellone CV $2250) that it was worth the process and the wait. In the last 5 years, I have not seen a single cover of either plate number come up for sale online.

September 16, 2019
I'm closer to finishing the 10.9¢ Hansom Cab series as I added a precancelled strip of 5 plate number 4 of Scott 1904a.

September 06, 2019
Added 4 plate number strips of 3 for the 12.5¢ Pushcart issue (Scott 2133 / 2133a), two regular issue and two precancels.

Technical Notes

September 08, 2019
Redesigned the first pages of the 18¢ Flag Over Lighthouse, 20¢ Flag Over Supreme Court, 22¢ Flag Over Capitol, 25¢ Flag Over Yosemite, and 33¢ Flag Over City to include more variations listed in the Scott catalog such as imperforate pairs with narrow or wide tagging, tagging omitted, and imperforate between pairs.

August 27, 2019
All of the commemorative pages have been scanned in high-resolution and images of each stamp are in place. Next will be the definitive stamps.

August 22, 2019
I started the laborious process of re-scanning each page in 600 dpi high-resolution to create separate images of each stamp, writing HTML image maps for each page, and adding them to the site. The commemorative pages are being added first followed by definitives, back-of-book, and finally the plate number coils. This will add the ability to click on any stamp on a page and view a larger scan of the actual stamp. It will be an ongoing effort and will eventually include every stamp in my collection.
